Offshore Steel Structures

Energy Holding is a certified manufacturer of EXC-3 class offshore steel structures headquartered in Gdańsk – in the immediate vicinity of the Baltic Sea and deep-water ports. We carry out orders for drilling platform operators, wind farms, subsea pipelines and port infrastructure from Poland, Norway, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands.

A 5,000 m² production hall with direct logistical access to Gdańsk ports enables the prefabrication of oversized offshore elements and their efficient transport by sea or land to the installation site.

For which offshore sectors do we work?

Offshore wind energy (Wind Offshore)
Monopile and jacket foundations for offshore wind farms, cable transitions (J-tube, I-tube), service platforms, ladders and railings. High-strength steel S355 and S420 with C5-M protection.

Drilling and production platforms
Structural modules, grabs, foundations and brackets for drilling and production platforms. Element prefabrication and delivery to the platform.

Subsea and nearshore pipelines
Subsea pipeline elements, cathodic protection anodes, supports and anchors. Steel P235GH, P265GH and stainless 316L.

Port and quayside infrastructure
Mooring structures, fenders, descent ladders, quayside platforms and port ramps. Anti-corrosion protection for the marine environment.

Service and support vessels (OSV/CSV)
Deck equipment for service vessels supporting wind farms and platforms. Grabs, cranes and cargo structures.

Cable and pipeline laying (EPCI)
Supporting structures for cable and pipeline laying vessels. Guides, rollers and tension management systems.

Anti-corrosion protection for offshore:

The marine environment is one of the most aggressive corrosivity categories. We apply protection systems in accordance with ISO 12944 class C5-M:

• Sandblasting Sa 2½ and Sa 3 – highest degree of surface preparation
• Thermal spray zinc metallization – protection for 25–50 years
• Epoxy + polyurethane C5-M system – marine environment
• Underwater paints and splash zone protection paints
• Cathodic protection – zinc and aluminium anodes
• Hot-dip galvanizing of small and fastening elements

Offshore certificates and standards:
• PN-EN 1090-1 EXC-3 certificate – required for offshore structures
• Welders with European certificates PN-EN ISO 9606-1
• WPS/WPQR welding procedures approved by notified body
• Non-destructive testing VT, MT, PT, UT, RT
• Compliance with DNV, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas standards
• Material documentation – EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2 certificates
